Toby Notequiet is a Beagle who joined the Squid Circle and immediately stopped being the only one in any conversation. There is a small notebook Toby Notequiet carries, half theories about the satellite flowers field and half crumbs. Toby Notequiet arrives where soup is served and somehow always after the line has shortened. Sometimes Toby Notequiet hears ideas that feel older than whoever first dreamed them, which is why the Squids listen carefully when the air goes still. Squids Club Member: Squid Club pups are the dreamers, artists, inventors, musicians, and strange thinkers of the Pixel Pups. The squid hat began as a human neural empathy mesh, built for shared learning, emotional synchronization, and pack cognition for young Thinking Dogs whose minds grew faster than their instincts, and the mesh kept dreaming after the humans went quiet. That is why Squid Club pups can finish each others songs three streets apart, hum the same color of paint at the same hour, and sometimes hear thoughts that have no living owner. They build murals, toys, lanterns, bone flutes, and machines that occasionally work before anyone understands why. Other factions respect the Squids and fear them a little, because nobody is ever fully sure which ideas belong to one pup and which ideas belong to the whole circle, and Luma is the listener every Squid Circle pup is quietly trying to grow toward.
